Disclaimer: By no means am I trying to be Dr.Phil or some relationship guru. I'm only stating what I've noticed out there in the game of "love" and thought I'd share my two, three, four cents
Part 1. Can't I just get a simple phone call vs. a text/Email/MySpace-Facebook-Twitter message????
As seen in the movie
He's Just Not That Into You, Drew Barrymo
re's character laments about how the WWW has changed the way we communicate with each other. I find convenience in having access to text messaging because everyone knows that when you're at work, it's nice to gossip with someone else in the outside world; BUT (now this is a huge BUT), why can't your date ask you out formally over the telephone? Technology I tell ya...!
The reason why I bring this up is because when I used to work for a hearing aid company, I would listen to how a patient would speak to his wife. Mr.S would ask Ms. S: "Would you be so obliged as to join me for dinner at Panda Express?" I mean... They're married and old fashioned, but that was the cutest thing I have ever heard!!!!! Granted they were sitting next to each other, but I bet your apple bottom jeans that if they owned cell phones, they would prefer calling vs texting (and it would not be because they didn't know how to text either!)
Part 2. Wait a minute now.. Are you pulling my chain? We've all done it for whatever reason... You start to like someone and then all of a sudden you lose interest and do not have the heart to tell them you're over it. Or it could be that you have more feelings for the other person and they are merely playing with your emotions. Whatever the case may be.... Truthfulness goes a long way. Most human beings would rather move on verses become a little puppet on a string.
To be continued...
